Prepare for an incredible ghost town experience!

BANNACK, MONTANA is one of America’s best kept ghost towns

Here are a few things to plan for:
1. FOOD: Please bring your food and drinks for the day. We will pass out snacks for the bus ride home (granola bar, fruit, treats, water).
2. PROPS: We have room to store things under the bus, so feel free to bring cowboy gear, old artifacts, or things to help with the levitation.
3. DRESS WARM!  It gets colder than Rexburg, so wear layers and bring warm coat, hat, scarf, gloves, and boots. (Check weather for JACKSON, MONTANA (not Wyoming).
4. BATHROOMS: We will stop on the way there and on the way back for bathrooms. There are only pit toilets at Bannack (and one flushing toilet for emergencies).
5. SERVICES: We will not have a building to lock things in. You may leave things on the bus. Come dressed in clothes for modeling, if you have period clothing or western wear. We have models coming who will be dressed up at the various stations during the Portrait Shootout time, but you may want to model for each other during group or free time.
6. PARTICIPATION AT BANNACK: Positive attitude and working together will make all the difference for everyone’s experience. Please stay with your groups and be a positive contributor, and find ways to help others around you throughout the day. These things will impact your Bannack participation grade.
7.  EXCUSED ABSENCE FORM: Print, fill out and take this form to your teachers in advance the week before we leave.

NOTE: There is NO INTERNET or CELL SERVICE  at Bannack.

Pray for tender mercies so we will have good photo weather and safety!

Get a feel for Bannack

A tourist did the first drone flight over Bannack, which is awesome for getting a feel for the layout of the town.
