Google it: Bannack Ghost Town

Equipment Needed

DLSR Camera; Tripod for ghosting and levitation shots (tripods may be shared).
Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom for appropriate adjustments.
PROPS: Bring props for your Commercial, Conceptual and Levitation photos as needed. Read the Assignments and Google “Levitation photography”  and “Conceptual photography” for ideas.
NOTE: You will find benches and chairs at Bannack to use for Levitation.

Overview

YOU WILL COMPLETE 4 SEPARATE BLOG POSTS. PLEASE REFER TO THE SCHEUDLE TO SEE WHEN THE FOLLOWING ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE:
• 1 Bannack Series blog post with 5+ images
• 1 Bannack Creative blog post with 5+ images
• 1 Bannack Portrait blog post with 5+ images
• 1 Bannack Fine Art blog post with 5+ images

Instructions for blog post #3: Portraits

PORTRAITS (5+ images)

Include at least 5 portraits of different people with varied lighting. Take portraits during group time, free time and during the Portrait Shootout. Include the following images in this post: To view the auxiliary light used at which station visit the Bannack Ghost Town link.

1. AUXILIARY LIGHT: At least 3 portraits using auxiliary lighting: strobe, LED, or continuous light.  In your blog post, be sure to specify which auxiliary lighting was used.
2. GROUP OF 2 OR MORE: Capture at least 1 group portrait with 2 or more people.

ALL images must be taken from the Bannack excursion.
Post your final images large size, with thumbnails of any originals.
Size at 1080px on the short side, rename your file to include your name and make sure all photos are clickable.

BEFORE & AFTER EXAMPLES (4+ images) 

Include at least 4 portraits of at least two different people with a flash and reflector.
1. FLASH: 1. Use natural light to expose the person with an overexposed sky. 2. Underexpose and use flash to light the person with a well exposed sky. (Same person / Same pose)
2. REFLECTOR: 1. without reflector 2. with reflector
Example images from Kade Atwood of before and after using a gold reflector. This would be considered 2 of the 4 images due.
 

ALL 9+ images must be taken from the Bannack excursion.
Post your final images large size, with thumbnails of any originals on your blog post if there were dramatic changes/edits.
Size at 1080px on the short side, rename your file to include your name and make sure all photos are clickable.

SUBMISSION:

Paste the link to your blog post in the WEB URL tab under the submission box on iLearn Canvas.

—  SUBMIT LINKS AFTER POSTS ARE COMPLETE: Do not submit until everything is complete. Once you submit, be sure NOT to change anything on your post, until after it is graded. Follow the Submission Instruction.

—  SUBMIT ALL 9+ OF YOUR PHOTOS FROM YOUR BLOG POST IN YOUR PERSONAL FB ALBUM.
Go to our FB page > Click on Photos > Albums > + Create Album (in the top right corner) > Add the Bannack photos you just posted in your blog post and change the date (top left) to your name > For EXAMPLE, if you are in section 1 type this in: 1-Jane Doe. You will repeat this for all 4 Bannack Blog Posts and will have at least 20 photos in your album by the end.
